Online applications have been invited for Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 10, which is common recruitment examination for Nursing Officer posts across all All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) institutes. AIIMS Delhi is the conducting body for this examination.

      • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University.
      • Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council.
    • Option 2:
      • Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute / Board.
      • Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council.
      • Two Years’ Experience in a minimum 50 bedded Hospital after acquiring the essential qualification.
        • Experience is required only for Diploma holders.
        • Experience must be acquired after obtaining essential qualification, completion of residency period, declaration of result, and registration with State/Indian Nursing Council.

Level-07 in the Pay Matrix (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400) + Usual Allowances

Initial in-hand salary will be approximately ₹70,000 per month.

Mode of Recruitment :

Selection process will be conducted in two successive stages:

  • Stage I: NORCET Preliminary Exam
  • Stage II: NORCET Main Exam

Stage I: NORCET Preliminary Exam

The NORCET Preliminary Examination will be conducted as a qualifying examination. Candidates who qualify in Prelims will be allowed to appear in Stage II: NORCET Main, subject to preparation of the list of candidates called for Stage II. The Preliminary stage will not be used for deciding Merit/Rank for final selection.

Each section will be enabled sequentially for viewing and answering. Qualifying percentile in Stage I will be 50th percentile for UR/EWS, 45th percentile for OBC and 40th percentile for SC & ST. For PWBD, an additional 5 percentile relaxation will be given. Accordingly, qualifying percentile for PWBD will be UR/EWS-PWBD 45 percentile, OBC-PWBD 40 percentile and SC/ST-PWBD 35 percentile.

Candidates qualifying in Stage I equal to 5 times the total seats in each category (UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) will be called for Stage II. All qualified PWBD candidates will be called for Stage II.

Stage II: NORCET Main Exam

The NORCET Main Examination will be conducted for final selection. Merit will be prepared based on performance in Stage II NORCET Main.

Sections 4 sections of 45 minutes each, 40 questions per section. Each section will be enabled sequentially.

Qualifying marks in NORCET Main will be 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC & ST. For PWBD, an additional 5% relaxation will be given. Accordingly, qualifying marks for PWBD will be UR/EWS-PWBD 45%, OBC-PWBD 40% and SC/ST-PWBD 35%.

If more than one candidate secures equal marks, the tie will be resolved by placing older candidates higher based on date of birth. If still unresolved, candidates with fewer wrong answers (lower negative marks) will be placed higher.

Preparation of Merit List & Allocation of Seats (Based on Stage II NORCET Mains)

Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of performance in Stage II NORCET Mains CBT, as per prescribed qualifying criteria.

  • Only qualified and eligible candidates will be invited to fill choices. There will be one round of seat allocation.
  • Seats will be allotted in order of merit and candidate’s preference.
  • Joining the allotted seat will be mandatory; failure to join will lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • No waiting list will be maintained, as NORCET is planned to be conducted twice a year.

Fee Structure :

  • General/OBC Candidates: Rs 3000
  • SC/ST Candidates/EWS: Rs 2400
  • Persons with Disabilities: Exempted from payment of fee
  • Fee must be paid online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking
  • Application fees of SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination will be refunded after declaration of results

How to Apply :

  1. Complete online registration on the official AIIMS examination portal on or before 16-03-2026 (by 5:00 PM). This includes creating an account on the AIIMS recruitment portal by providing basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID.
  2. After registration, login using the Candidate ID / Mobile Number and password. Choose the examination to apply for (NORCET 10 in this case).
  3. Fill the online application form carefully with personal details, educational qualification details, State/Indian Nursing Council registration details and experience details (if applicable).
  4. Upload scanned photograph, signature and left thumb impression as per the required specifications.
  5. Pay the application fee online and submit the form before 16-03-2026 (by 5:00 PM).
  6. Download and keep a printout of the submitted application form for future reference. No need to send the printed application form to All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi at this stage.
  7. If the application form is rejected or found deficient, correction of rejected/deficient forms can be done from 25-03-2026 to 27-03-2026 (by 5:00 PM).
